Gonabadi dervish and wife of Amir Eslami, Mrs. Maryam Shirini who had been summoned to intelligence ministry, was interrogated for a few hours today.

According to Majzooban reporter, today on Sunday 29 Bahman( Feb. 17) she was interrogated by Tehran’s intelligence ministry and was questioned about her recent interview with foreign media on the status of her husband and other jailed lawyers.

Mrs. Eslami told our reporter: “Although it was a phone call and I did not have lawfully to go there but as I was sure that I have done nothing wrong, I was not afraid of going to the intelligence office and even detention.” “As long as I do not feel confident about the health conditions of my husband and the other jailed lawyers, I do not promise not to interview and also I am not even afraid of being arrested.” She added that.

Her husband, Gonabadi dervish Amir Eslami is a lawyer who along with six other dervish attorneys and Majzooban Noor website’s managers has been arrested and being held in jail since Shahrivar 90 (Sep 2011). Since 34 days ago, they have been sent to the Intelligence Ministry’s detention of Evin prison due to protesting against their illegal detention and the lack of legal proceedings and refusing to participate in the unfair court. So far, there is no news of these prisoners of conscience’s conditions in solitary confinement of Ward 209 as they are forbidden to visit family.
