Dervishes Triumphantly Broke Their Fast /Transfer of Jailed Dervish Lawyers to Ward 350 of Evin

The imprisoned Dervish lawyers after three months, were transferred back to Evin Prison’s General Ward 350 and their families could visit them this morning.
According to Majzooban Noor, on the afternoon of Saturday 24 Farvardin 1392 (April 13, 2013), the seven imprisoned Dervish lawyers who were being held in solitary confinements for three months, transferred from security Section 209 to general Section 350 of Evin Prison after other two jailed Dervishes in Shiraz went on hunger strike.
Finally, Saleh Moradi and Kasra Nouri, after 90 days on hunger strike for transfer of their lawyers to general Ward 350, ended their strike triumphantly.
After persistence of imprisoned Gonabadi Dervishes for just the Constitution’ run and standing against illegal demands of security and judicial authorities in Iran, as these seven Dervishes were coming back to Section 350 of Evin other political prisoners in the ward, by chanting “Hail to the Hero Dervishes”, gave them a warm welcome. Their families who could visit them this morning, told their psychological states are good but stated that they are not in a good physical condition and are in need of urgent medical care.
Messrs. Hamid Reza Moradi Sarvestani, Amir Eslami, Mostafa Daneshjou, Farshid Yadollahi, Afshin Karampour, Omid Behroozi and Reza Entesari, who have been put in the basement cells of the Section 209 of Evin prison under order from judge Salavati, just because of refusing to participate in their unfair trail which was considered as illegal hearing by them, re-interrogated, beaten and tortured and endured inhumane conditions of security Ward 209 despite their serious illnesses for three months.
Prohibition of medical treatments without access to fresh air and day light for 3 months, has caused severe physical problems for them. Meanwhile, three of them due to their acute diseases need to continual medical attention for sure.
They were also deprived of the legal rights such as the right of having pen and paper and prisoner telephone calls.
After transfer of seven Dervish lawyers to general ward 350, two Gonabadi Dervishes, Saleh Moradi and Kasra Nouri ended their prolong-term hunger strike. They had been protesting with a hunger strike against the illegal transfer of their Dervish lawyers to solitary confinement since 90 days ago and had required prison officials to transfer back them to the general ward and had also called attention to their poor health situation.
Despite being under pressures from the security forces and the Ministry of Intelligence in an attempt to break their hunger strike by force, with endurance and perseverance, Dervishes achieved their goals, then ended their hunger strike.
Two Dervishes’ hunger strike and the dire condition of other jailed Dervish lawyers caused widespread international reactions, including: The letters and issued statements by Amnesty International, European Parliament, German Foreign Ministry, The Abdorrahman Boroumand Foundation and Iranian Nobel Peace Prize winner Shirin Ebadi’s letter to Dr. Ahmed Shaheed.
