Iranian judiciary human rights envoy visits Ebrat ward of Shiraz AdelAbad prison

The representative of Iranian judiciary commission on human rights visited the religious minorities section of Shiraz’s AdelAbad prison which is known as Ebrat Ward.
According to Majzooban Noor, Thursday morning (Tir 6, 1392/ Jun 27, 2013) Mr. Seifi, the representative of Iranian judiciary commission on human rights visited the section of religious minorities and political prisoners in AdelAbad prison, met with prisoners of conscience, speaking to inmates including the jailed Gonabadi Dervishes. At this visit, Kasra Nouri as the representative of imprisoned Gonabadi Dervishes spoke with the envoy about the pressure on Gonabadi Dervishes in recent years especially for making false, malicious and unsubstantiated allegations like ” Moharebeh “(Enmity against God) and heavy charges against them.

It is mentioned that justice officials and the director general of Fars province prisons authorities were attending the talks.
Mr. Seifi promised to pursue the issue of false allegations against Dervishes and also promised to reduce pressure on them.
It is notable that, the representative of the Human Rights Commission is also assistant prosecutor and the head of dispute resolution council.
One month ago, imprisoned Gonabadi Dervish, Kasra Nouri who is being held in Shiraz AdelAbad prison was suddenly transferred into solitary confinement by AdelAbad prison guards with no explanation where he was denied visitation rights and telephone contact with his family for 20 days. Then he was sent to Ebrad ward ( the ward of prisoners of conscience and other minority religions). The Iranian judicial authorities have refused to answer his family’s questions about these such restrictions on him. Currently Kasra Nouri along with four other Gonabadi Dervishes (Sayed Ebrahim Bahrami, Mohammad Ali Sadeghi, Mohammad Ali Dehghan and Mohsen Esmaeeli) are being held in religious minorities section of AdelAbad prison.
