Prosecutor Prevented Political Prisoners in Ward 350 from Education

Nine political prisoners in ward 350 of Evin prison (including four Gonabadi Dervishes) have been banned from participate in university exam under the order of Tehran Prosecutor General.
According to HRANA News Agency, Mohammad Sadigh Kaboudvand, Omid Koukabi, Farshid Yadollahi, Amir Eslami, Omid Behroozi, Afshin Karampour, Mehdi Doulati, Mehdi Fazelifar and Sina Azimi have been banned from taking exam in Payam Noor University.

Despite all the limitations in Evin prison to purchase books and pamphlets, the prisoners were ready to take the exam and they had also paid their education costs but according to the warden’s office, public prosecutor’s office prevented them from attending the examinations.
Farshid Yadollahi, Amir Eslami, Omid Behroozi and Afshin Karampour are lawyers and defenders of Dervish rights who are being held in Evin prison since Shahrivar 1390 (Sep 2011). These four Gonabadi Dervishes along with other administrators of Majzooban Noor website have been sentenced to a combined total of 56 years imprisonment at Branch 15 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Salavati in an unfair trial.
