A few hours ago, Gonabadi Dervish, blogger and Dervish rights activist, Kasra Nouri was transferred to the No. 2 prison in Fars province known as Nezam prison.
According to Majzooban Noor, Kasra Nouri who was being held in Adel-Abad Prison in Shiraz for nearly 2 years, all the sudden with no explanation has been transferred to the No. 2 prison in Fars province known as Nezam prison today on 28 Dey 1392 (Jan 18, 2014).
It is notable that his physical condition is reportedly dire and regarding Adel-Abad prison infirmary’s diagnosis, he is now suffering from spinal disc, sciatic nerve pain and respiratory disease so he must be taken to hospital for receiving the treatments he requires soon. But he is not even allowed to be transferred to the hospital for M.R.I (Magnetic Resonance Imaging).
So far, the pursuits of the reasons for his transfer have remained unanswered.
In Dey of last year (January 2013) Dervish right activist, Kasra Nouri along with another jailed Dervish, Saleheddin Moradi Sarvestani, had been protesting with a hunger strike against the illegal transfer of their Dervish lawyers to solitary confinement in Evin prison for 90 days and after their demands were met, they ended their prolong-term hunger strike. Imprisoned Gonabadi Dervish, Kasra Nouri, was also sentenced at Branch 3 of Shiraz’s Revolutionary Court presided over by Judge Rashidi to four years and four months imprisonment on charges of “propaganda against the regime, acting against national security, insulting the leadership and belonging to a deviant group (Majzooban Noor)”. His unfair sentences confirmed by the court of appeal.
