Responses to Human Rights Abuses in Iran
1. On Saturday 1 March 2014, the campaign of “Eleventh of Isfand”, related to human rights in Iran announced that this campaign has contacted the MP’s of various countries including India, England, Canada demanding immediate and unconditional freedom for the human rights activist and those prisoners who were arrested on the 2 March 2010.
2. Two weeks ago, Hosein Ronaghi a political prisoner in Branch 350 of Evin Prison has gone on medication and treatment strike. This prisoner has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment by Judge Pir Abbasi from the Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court on charges of “distribution of tools and software that unblocks internet filters”.
3. On Sunday 2 March 2014, on the fourth anniversary of institutions and organizations dealing with human rights in Iran and seven Iranian human rights organisations wrote a joint statement demanding the release of those people who had been arrested on the Sunday 2 March 2010.
4. A number of recent reports have announced the human rights in Iran have become a worrying situation. The United Nation says “during the first 7 weeks from the beginning of the year 2014, the number of executions by hanging has increased, according to the reports, 80 out of 90 people have been hanged.
5. On Sunday 2 March 2014, 9 Gonabadi Dervish prisoners from Tehran and Shiraz prisons have gone on a hunger strike

Women’s Right
1. In the previous week a student activist, Maryam Shafi-pour, has been sentenced to seven years imprisonment from the Revolutionary Courts, who was expelled by the University of Qazvin and charged with conspiracy against the National Security and for creating propaganda against the regime.
2. Th lawyer of Mrs Farzaneh who killed her husband six years ago stated that Farzane was hanged in Isfahan prison.

Workers and vulnerable communities
1. On Saturday 22 February Seyed Wahab Hoseini the son of Seyed Velayat Hoseini from a village of Boroush-kharan near the city of Salmas, was directly shot at by the Iranian Security Forces and severely injured.
2. Furthermore in the previous week, Reza Alipour the head of Worker Union of Sadid factory in the city of Eslam-shahr stated that 95 staff have not been paid their salary and insurance for the last 3 months.
3. Nine labour activists and teachers from the city of Esfahan, all of whom were sentenced to two and a half years imprisonment by the court of appeals, were given a reduced sentence, and all received a total of 74 months imprisonment.

Sentences: death, flogging, amputation, imprisonment and detention
1. According to reports, on Thursday 27 February 2014, a person accused of drug trafficking was hanged. This drug trafficker was initially arrested in 2008 on charges of transporting 5 Kg and 600 grams of heroin.
2. Arash Honarvar Shojayi, a dissident cleric and a prisoner in the special clerical section of Evin Prison has been transferred to solitary confinement
3. Furthermore, the head of public relations of Justice in the city of Gillan announced the hanging of 28 year old and 30 year old men in the central prison of Rasht. He added that they were accused of acting against the Islamic Shari-a Law which is a criminal act according to the Justice.

5. Sunday 2 March 201 Reports announced the hanging of 4 drug trafficking prisoners accused of using guns while transporting opium type of drug after having gone through legal process by the Islamic Revolution Court of Roudan and with the endorsement of the prosecutor general.
6. A juvenile offender who had murdered his cousin at the age of 17 was hanged despite the fact that his grand father of the two cousins had the right to stop the execution.
7. On Tuesday 4 March 2014, the Command Commander of Natural Resources and Watershed Protection department announced that the person accused of murdering the ghargh security officer has been sentenced to death by the judicial authorities.

The rights of the followers of ethnic – prisoners of conscience in Iran
1. Seyed Sami Hosseini and Jamal Mohammadi, two Kurdish political prisoner in the central prison of city of Oromyeh were convicted to execution and sentenced to 10 year s imprisonment for destruction to Government property. the sentence was given by the Sepah Legal authority without having their families present at the hearing.
2. Reza Entesari, Amir Eslami, Mostafa Abdi, Farshid Yadollahi and Omid Behrozi five Dervishe prisoners’ in Ward 350 of Evin Prison have gone on hunger strike in protest for the 2 other fellow dervish prisoners who have been returned back to prison from hospital. Who are critically ill and in need medical treatment,
3. The week six Dervish prisoners who are in ward 350, protesting the exile of Reza Entesari and Farshid Yadollahi who have been moved from Evin prision to Rajai Shahr prison, went on strike and even refused to go meet their family members.
4. Despite the physical illness of Shahram Ahmadi and Arash Sharifi who are Sunni prisoner in Section 350 of Evin Prison, these two prisoners of conscience are still deprived of any medical treatment.
5. Furthermore, Kasra Noori wrote a note and went on hunger strick for the 2 dervishes who health conditions are very critical and not receiving medical treatment
6. Hamid Reza Moradi, Mostafa Daneshjoo and Afshin KaramPour, the three Dervishes, who are sick and imprisoned in protest against the exile two of the Dervishes from their ward, joined the hunger strike with other dervishes.
7. Abdul-Ghafor Ghalandari-Nejad Gonabadi Dervish prisoner in Bandar Abbas prison, after hearing about the strike of 9 jailed Dervishes and other Dervishes, started his hunger strike from today. He announced that his demand is same as his Dervish brother’s demands.

Press and cyberspace
1. The managing editor of the news paper called Bahar which was closed down by the regime, has been further banned for six month by the Tehran penal court branch 76.

Other Human Rights violations
1. On Wednesday the 26th February, the Evin Prison authorites stopped the transfer of Akbar Amini to medical centre out side prison,
2. Mehdi Khodaei who is suffering from an infectious disease is deprived of receiving adequate treatment.
3. Asghar Ghatan who was sent to hospital a week ago suddenly has been sent back to prison. Asghar Ghzatan is suffering from many serious health conditions, such as cancer, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, heart failure and kidney disease, and many serious health condition was in prison. He has been in critical condition several times whilst been in prison
4. The head of Forest Security Organization Mr Ghasemi-poor, announced the death of 80 thousand Iranians due to air pollution.
5. According to the news Assadollah Hadi political prisoner who is in ward 350 of Evin Prison, has been returned to the prison without completing his treatment.
6. Outhorities have prevented Abbas Bigdeli’s release, even though he has completed his 3 months sentence.
