As Radio Zamaneh reported, Iranian women were prohibited from entering the stadium to watch a volleyball game between Iran and Brazil.

Bank Varzesh website reports that a group of about 60 Iranian women who had arrived at the stadium were denied entrance, while Brazilian women were allowed to enter.

The two teams met on Friday in Tehran, and Iran defeated the Brazilian team for the second time.

The report adds that a group of women’s rights activists was among the women who sought access to the game on Friday June 13.

According to the rules of the World Federation of Volleyball, Iran is obligated to provide women with access to the stadium to watch the game.
