The Free Tribune of Lawyers’ Statement on Farshid Yadollahi’s Situation: Our Imprisoned Colleague

etezr-cshr

Our imprisoned colleague, Farshid Yadollahi, has gone on hunger strike since 31 August to protest at the illegal restrictions imposed on him in prison. His physical condition is deteriorating.

A number of detained Gonabadi Dervishes, including; Kasra Nuri, Mostafa Abdi, Hamidreza Moradi, Omid Behruzi, Afshin Karampoor, Mostafa Daneshjoo and Reza Entesari have also started a hunger strike in support of Farshid Yadollahi and in protest at the violation of the rights of Gonabadi Dervishes.

The Free Tribune of Lawyers, while supporting Farshid Yadollahi’s legitimate demands, declares judicial authorities, in particular the head of the judiciary, whose disregard for the rules and regulations has caused this situation, responsible for failing to protect lives and health of Farshid Yadollahi and the other hunger strikers.

The Free Tribune of Lawyers once again draws the attention of the head of the Union of the Iranian Bar Association, Mr. Bahman Keshavarz, to the predicament of imprisoned lawyers, including Abdolfatah Soltani, Mohamamd Seifzadeh and Farshid Yadollahi, and urges the Union to support them.
