Evin prison guards are trying to take the imprisoned Dervishes who are on hunger strike since twelve days ago, to solitary confinement.
According to Kalame, following statement from Dervish prisoners announcing mass hunger strike to protest the violations of their constitutional rights, the Evin prison’s Warden, “Momeni” by putting pressure on the prison administrators wanted for immediate transfer of the jailed Dervishes to solitary confinement.
Despite the fact that, after 12 days on hunger strike, still no effective action has been taken for law enforcement and change dire conditions of Dervish prisoners.
According to previous report by Majzooban Noor, the jailed Dervishes’s families who were sitting-in at Evin’s waiting room, today and refused to leave the meeting hall from the early hours of the meeting until three hours after closing time, finally met with the Evin prison’s Warden, “Momeni” and asked about the recent crackdowns on jailed Dervishes and then, “Momeni” introduced the Judicial authorities as decision-makers in treating with prisoners and promised for urgent meeting and paying the family’s demands!
The families of jailed Gonabadi Dervishes and their lawyers, by stating that they have been denied visitation of their loved ones in the past 2 months due to crackdowns, protested that none of the officials are accountable.
