The annual mourning ceremonies of Muharram, honoring the death of Imam Hossein, were held in the places of worship of Gonabadi Dervishes accross the country and also in the Soltani Shrine (Mazare Soltani) in Baidokht.
According to Majzooban Noor, in addition to commemorating the days of Tasua and Ashura ( that mark the martyrdom of the third Shi’a Imam Hossein) in Amirsolaimani’s Hosseiniyeh in Tehran, imprisoned Gonabadi Dervishes held mourning ceremonies for these days in their jails in Tehran and Shiraz.

Beydokht is a city in the Central District of Gonabad County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. Baidokht is located 270 kilometres (170 mi) south of Mashhad. At the 2006 census, its population was 4,823, in 1,392 families.
Beydokht is revered by all Dervishes and has been known as the capital of Theosophy and Mysticism.
