Family of the political prisoners entered the New Year while the tolerance of the government in imparting these prisoners to have the right of leave was very minuscule in comparison with the previous years. Only a handful of political prisoners, including Ahmad Zeidabadi, Behzad Arabgul, and Maryam Shafeipour came to leave. This is while dozens of prisoners in jails of Evin, Rajaei-Shahr, Nezam Fars, Adel Abad in Shiraz and also other prisons were even deprived of being with their dears and families in the early days of the New Year.

What you read in the following is an interview that Ms. Mozhgan Modaresoloom, a correspondent of Jaras, did with the spouse of Mr. Salehedin Moradi ( Hamid-Reza Moradi’s brother), and then was released by Kaleme Website.

“The year which has past was a difficult one for Gonabadi Dervishes, a year full of strength, patience, faith and trust in God”. These are the words of the wife of Salehedin Moradi Sarvestani, a man who has been in jail approximately for one month.
The spouse of this rights activist of Gonabadi dervishes also went on;
“The situation is still difficult but we are with God and with hope and faith in God, we stand these days. Yesterday, a trial session was held for Mr. Moradi and then he was told to put up bail, but my husband refused bail because he believes that he has not committed any crime. And now he has been transferred to the central prison.
Kavar central court issued a sentence against my husband to two years exile and thirty lashes which has been upheld. He also has a case in the revolutionary court of Shiraz which has been condemned to two years in jail and two years in exile as well. But this verdict has been sent to the Court of Appeal and still is not confirmed. This is the third case for him.
When they came to arrest my husband, they told us that they came for the execution of the sentence of exile issued by the court, but later it turned out that they formed a new file against Mr. Moradi, and also have raised up new allegations including crimes against national security, interviews with Medias and also management of Majzooban Noor Website.
Mr. Kasra Nouri is now imprisoned in Nezam prison in Shiraz. Hamid-Reza Moradi Sarvestani and Mostafa Daneshjou are hospitalized. Mr. Entesari and Mr. Abdi are imprisoned in Evin, but God is with us and we have faith and trust in Him.
