Zanjan student activist detained
GVF — A student activist from the city of Zanjan has been arrested. Amir Hossein Alavi, a member of the student alumni opposition group known as Advar Tahkim Vahdat, was arrested on 27 May after being summoned to Zanjan’s Intelligence Bureau.
Activist taken to Zanjan Prison
Jailed Iranian human rights activist Nargess Mohammadi has been transferred to Zanjan Prison. The Melli-Mazhabi website reports that Mohammadi, the deputy head of the Centre for Human Rights Defenders of Iran, was transferred to Zanjan Prison from the Evin Prison infirmary in Tehran.

The deputy commander of the Zanjan State Security Forces said, “In line with carrying out the plan to improve social security and increase dealing with the smuggling of satellite receivers and rounding up these equipment, more than 49,000 satellite equipment were discovered and rounded up in the province”.
