This Monday (23 May 2011) the officers of the Iranian Intelligence Agency called Dr. Bijan Bidabad, an economist and a Dervish, out by phone to be present at that agency.

According to the reporter of Majzooban Noor website, a person named Mr. Rezaee from the Iranian Intelligence Agency, today morning at 9 o’clock called Dr. Bidabad to introduce himself to that agency, but this Gonabadi dervish replies “your summon is completely illegal and I won’t come to the place you want, but if you want to meet me, ask me so that I can set you a time for an appointment”

The officer continues talking on the phone with a threatening tone in reaction to Dr. Bidabad’s reply to invite him to another place, but he rejects his invitation and asks for the reason of this call. Answering back, the officer tells that the reason for his summon is his interview with the foreign media like BBC, VOA, and Radio Farda which is against the law of Islamic Laws of Iran. In answer Dr. Bidabad states that according to the law his interviews are not illegal, but their summon on the phone is an example of illegal action and that is considered as an illegal case of the governments employees. Here Mr. Rezaee asks if Dr. Bidabad is an economist or a lawyer. In answer D.r Bidabad claims that because of many illegal cases committed by the Intelligence Agency officers, today all dervishes to support themselves have become lawyers.

On repeated phone calls by the officers for having Dr. Bidabad introduced, he replies that if they want him there, they should prepare a legal summon.
