Jaras: Hoda Saber, a writer and a religious-nationalist activist, died in hospital of the pressure of hunger strike.
According to the report handed down to Jaras, he was sent to Modarres hospital from Evin prison because of a heart disease on Friday and soon was under operation and the doctors cured the coronary thrombosis, but the pressure was too much to tolerate.
Tavavvol-e-Sazb reported the ignorance of the authorities and added that the doctors at the hospital had claimed that if he had been carried to the hospital on time, he could have been confined in CCU and consequently could keep alive.
It should be mentioned that Hoda Saber with Khosro Amirsani, religious-nationalist activists, had claimed in a statement that they would go on hunger strike in reaction to Hale Sahabi’s martyrdom from 2 June 2011. Some political activists had asked them to end the hunger strike. Hoda Saber was kidnapped from his workplace a year ago and was carried to Evin prison without any judicial sentence or verdict. He came back home for some days on a leave from prison in May 2011 and was back to Evin in section 350.
Farideh Jamshidi, Hoda Saber’s wife, had told the media about her pursuits of his file to Jaras “there is no official reference to answer our questions and yet we could not get any result of our pursuit and nobody is after his trial. I want his immediate unconditioned freedom, because he is prison without any trial, verdict, or sentence”.
Previously Mr. Saber had written a letter to Mr. Sahabi and Dr. Naser Katoozyan that there was no judiciary, no reference to refer, and no evidence to adduce. He had claimed “in this condition I am with my prison mates in section 350. The prison mates from different political parties like Mosharekat, Kargozaran, Freedom Movement Party, Muslim Fighters Movement, and student moments like Tahkim and Advare Yahkim are all hostages of political organs. This is going while some prisoners are under the death sentence for the charge of rebellion or other charges where a judge from one of the revolution judiciary system has told that 80 percent of the prisoners of section 350 are in the prison for no real charges.”
Jaras offers condolence the death of this political prisoner to the nation and his family.
It is heard that the prison officials avoided giving his body to his family.
