The historic village Hajij is the last village of the border town of Nosoud in the western Iranian province of Kermanshah.

180 families live in the village. But now the village is faced with a grim future. As the construction of the Darian dam which started three years ago is completed, some of the houses in the village will be consumed by water. This has caused some of the families to migrate to the cities while the remaining families worry about what the future has in store for them.
