According to Majzooban reporter, Gonabadi dervish, Mohammad Ali Shamshirzan who has been held in Adel Abad Prison for more than 7 months, had a severe toothache for three days but despite his family and lawyer’s follow-up unfortunately authorities did not allow him to be sent to the medical center for treatment.

After enduring so much pain he transferred to Adel Abad prison clinic and dentist just pulled out his teeth!!!

While if the prison authorities have been sent this “prisoner of conscience” earlier to the medical center for treatment, this irreparable injury would not have happened to him and there was no need to pull out Gonabadi dervish’s teeth!

It should be noted that, this such ill treatment becomes commonplace in prison and Prisoners of conscience, especially Gonabadi Dervishes are faced with the negligence of prison officers and Adel Abad Prison clinic in the health care cases. So long ago, one of the jailed Gonabadi dervish in Adel Abad prison, was described the health status of this prison as: ” It seems like the only way out to being taken to hospital is being self-harm (Self-immolation) and transferred to hospitals for normal treatment, is almost impossible!”
