Five Gonabadi Dervishes who were kept in solitary confinement, in the basement of AdelAbad Prison, were sent to section “Ebrat” of this prison.
According to Majzooban Noor, this morning 12 Khordad (June 2), Kasra Nouri, a Dervish right activist along with four other Gonabadi Dervishes (Sayed Ebrahim Bahrami, Mohammad Ali Sadeghi, Mohammad Ali Dehghan and Mohsen Esmaeeli) residents of Kavar town in Fars province who were put into solitary confinement in the basement cells of Shiraz’s AdelAbad prison, were moved to the “Ebrat” section of AdelAbad prison. It is notable that, they are still banned from visiting and calling and so far, Mr. Emjary (Deputy Warden of Security) has given no explanation for the raid by prison guards on the Green Ward of AdelAbad prison and transfer of Kasra Nouri to solitary confinement.
That is to say, the state of healthcare, welfare and nutrition in this section, is worse than other sections of AdelAbad prison so the families of jailed Dervishes was extremely concerned about their health situation.
Yesterday morning, a number of Gonabadi Dervishes gathered in front of Shiraz’s AdelAbad prison to protest against transfer of the four Gonabadi Dervishes residents of Kavar town to solitary confinement and after the crowd of Dervishes were dispersed, prison guards stormed the Green Ward and took Kasra Nouri to an undisclosed location. Already, Saleh Moradi and Kasra Nouri in a letter had urged the Fars province’s department of justice to reconsider their unlawful decision and asked judicial authorities to immediately transfer back of four Dervishes to general Ward at AdelAbad prison and end harassment and oppression against Dervishes.
